BRIAN HAO

Brian is a Manger of Public Affairs with Impact Public Affairs, Brian Hao is a public policy and stakeholder relations leader with extensive experience advising senior government and C-suite decision makers on infrastructure, housing, healthcare, and economic development initiatives across Ontario.
Previously serving in senior policy and stakeholder relations roles to the Ontario Minister of Infrastructure and Minister of Long Term Care, Brian provided strategic counsel on major provincial infrastructure priorities, capital investment planning, and intergovernmental partnerships. He advised ministers and senior executives on complex policy matters, including leading the consolidation of capital project spending throughout the Ontario government, transit-oriented development, housing-enabling infrastructure, fiscal planning, and stakeholder engagement strategies involving municipal governments, Indigenous communities, industry associations, and private sector partners.
Brian also brings experience from the private sector through his previous time with one of Canada's leading crisis management and strategic communications firms. There, he advised corporate, government, and non-profit clients on government relations, communications strategy, stakeholder engagement, risk analysis, and public policy issues.
Brian holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Toronto and is fluent in English and Mandarin. Outside of work, Brian can often be found in the gym, participating in various outdoor sports or lounging around with his cat while reading.
